The 40096 ROMANESQUE 19 model reproduces the basilica of Armentia in 1:110 scale. The building is located near the town of Vitoria where, long ago, there must have been a Roman roadway. There is evidence of the building since the 9th century, although the present architectonic structure must be from the 12th century. In 1773 major reforms were undertaken that changed its appearance. Therefore it is a monumental Romanesque building (due to its considerable size) that has undergone an in-depth reform. It has a noteworthy sculptural decoration.
