The ROMANESQUE 18 model 40095 reproduces the southwestern section of the cloister of St Juliana Collegiate Church in Santillana del Mar in 1:50 scale.
The origins of this religious centre are due to previous constructions possibly located in the same place. It was used to house the remains of St Juliana, and later became a collegiate church. Starting in the 12th century, countless additions and reforms to the main sections of the building began. In addition to the majestic building, another noteworthy element of importance is the cloister in which the northern wing was reconstructed. The prevailing iconography on the capitals repeatedly alludes to intertwined plant shapes and angels. Scale: 1:50
